Each station appears in the left column under Name. The row across from each station contains the settings for that irrigation zone.
IMPORTANT: The Station column reflects the station order within the selected program.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Program | Click the drop-down arrow and select the program to assign to the station. Updated run times will appear in the program after the next sync. |
| ET % | This percentage determines how much of the measured ET is used to calculate moisture loss for the zone. Adjust it to control how much water is automatically applied. |
| Plant Type | Select a plant type for each station from the list you created. |
| Maturity | Use the Maturity setting for new plantings that do not yet have fully developed root zones. This setting temporarily increases the watering factor for the zone until the root system is established. Once the preset period ends, the station automatically switches to Established. |
| Soil | The Soil setting factors in two key characteristics: soil infiltration rate and water-holding capacity. These inputs help determine how water moves through and is retained in the soil. |
| Sun | Sun exposure is an important factor in irrigation calculations. Select one of the following options for each station:
|
| Sprinkler | The Sprinkler setting determines how long a station must run to replace water lost to ET. It preselects a precipitation rate for the station, which tells the system how much water (in inches or millimeters) is applied per minute of run time |
| Precip | Precipitation rate is the amount of water a zone applies per hour of run time, measured in inches or millimeters. The software uses this rate to calculate watering depth and automatically adjust run times. Each minute of irrigation corresponds to a specific amount of applied water. |
| Efficiency | The Efficiency setting adjusts how the precipitation rate affects final run time. It acts as a run-time factor to reflect zone characteristics. This value may also be referred to as Scheduling Coefficient (SC), Irrigation Efficiency (IE), or Distribution Uniformity (DU) in various formulas. |
