SkyCommand - Flow Sensor

A Flow Sensor monitors flow to an entire irrigation system or through an individual valve. In the event of an overflow, this sensor will automatically shut down the irrigation system at the controller. This acts as a switch, breaking the electrical circuit to the solenoid valves as soon as it registers a flow exceeding the calibrated limits. This allows the timer to advance as scheduled, but keeps the valve(s) with a flow issue from activating. As a result of installing the flow sensor in the system, the user substantially reduces water loss under this condition.

The BOC-FL only works with Hunter HCxxxFLOW Sensors (where xxx is the pipe size). Learn More

IMPORTANT: BOC-FL does not supply the voltage required for other flow sensor models. Flow sensor wiring may be extended up to 50' (15 m) with a minimum 18 AWG (1 mm2) shielded cable.

  1. The BOC-100-FL(-E) series has one station output and is designed for use as a master valve.
  2. The blue and white wires with crimp terminations are for a flow sensor input. Cut off the crimp terminals and strip about ½" (13 mm) of insulation from each wire end.
  3. Connect the HCxxxFLOW Sensor wires using waterproof connectors, observing polarity:
    • BOC-FL blue wire = positive (+). Connect to HCxxxFLOW blue wire.
    • BOC-FL white wire = negative (-). Connect to HCxxxFLOW white wire.
