To add a device in the Centralus software, you must first locate the serial number printed on the side of the Battery Operated Controller (BOC). After completing steps 1-3, enter this number into the system to uniquely associate the device with the specific controller. This process ensures proper communication and management of the device within the Centralus platform.
- Log in to Centralus Software, then select the UCH site where you want to add the BOC Controller.
- Select Add Device.
- Select the device type (BOC or Repeater).
- Enter the Serial Number of the new BOC Controller, found near the station wires.
- Select Add Device to confirm. The UCH will attempt to contact the BOC. If the BOC responds, it will appear in the Site Items list with its station size and current configuration.
If the BOC does not respond, the serial number will still appear in the Site Items list, but device details will be missing.
- Check battery power and communications, then try again.
- Verify the serial number entered is correct.
