If you receive a “password incorrect” message when connecting to a Verizon router, it may be related to a feature called Self-Organizing Network (SON). SON is designed to improve Wi-Fi performance by automatically identifying and resolving network issues. On Verizon routers, this feature may be turned off by default when first installed.
Enabling SON can often resolve connection problems. Once you turn this feature on, your Hydrawise controller should connect without any issues.
1. Open the MyFios App.
2. Select Wi-Fi settings.
3. Select Self-Organizing Network.
4. Turn SON On.
